General Labourer

We are looking for a General Labourer to join our team at our Québec site.

Reporting to the Site Manager you will play an important role in our daily operations. You will be mainly responsible for receiving sorting and classifying different types of metals as well as participating in their processing and proper handling.

Your responsibilities :

• Receive unload sort and classify different types of metals;
• Identify materials and direct them to the appropriate areas based on their type and quality;
• Participate in the processing and preparation of metals;
• Welcome customers and assist them when materials are received;
• Weigh materials and enter data into the RECY software;
• Operate various equipment including forklifts as required for operations;
• Perform daily opening and closing activities;
• Keep the work area clean and safe and perform other related duties.

Qualifications :

• You are comfortable with manual and physically demanding work;
• You are comfortable working both indoors and outdoors as needed;
• You are responsible punctual resourceful and safety-conscious;
• You enjoy working as part of a team and collaborating with your colleagues;
• You have experience in an industrial environment (asset);
• You have experience operating a forklift or other equipment (asset);
• You have knowledge of metal recycling and different types of metals (asset).

Additional Information :

* The $1000 signing bonus will be paid in three installments: $250 after 3 months of service (upon successful completion of the probationary period) $250 after 6 months and $500 after 9 months of service.
