KeyResponsibilities

Wearelookingforanorganizedandproactiveprofessionalto:

• Prepareandoperatelightandheavymaintenanceequipmentsuchaspatroltruckcrashtruckloadersplowscombinations/spreaderstractorsweedeaterslawnmowerschainsawetc.
• Maintaincompleteandsubmitapatroldiarydaily.
• IdentifyandmaintainMaintenancedeficiencieslist.
• Monitoroperationswithinassignedpatrolarea.
• Ensureallroadwaysareclearofalldebrisinpatrolarea.
• Respondtopubliccomplaints.
• Respondtoallincidentswithinthepatrolarea(accidentsspillsetc.).
• Reportaccidentsincidentsand/orinjuriestothePatrolSupervisorcompletingandsubmittingrequireddocumentationdaily.
• Completeandmonitorallrequiredpaperworkdaily/weekly/monthlyreportsasspecifiedinthecontractincluding:DriverInspectiondocumentsHoursofServiceLogSheetsVehicleCircleSafetyChecksWinterOperationsRecordsandotheroperationaldocumentsasrequired.
• Carryoutallroutine/non-routinehighwaymaintenanceactivitiesfacilitymaintenanceandyardmaintenanceasrequired;suchguidepostssigninstallationspotholefillingwashoutrepairsdebrispickuppicnicsiteandlaybysnowremovalmaintenanceetc.
• AssistintrainingandmentoringstaffbyutilizingOPSDstandardsandmaintenancebestpracticesetc.
• Performrequiredpreventativeandroutineequipmentmaintenancewhichincludesbutisnotlimitedto:performingcleaning/washingtheinteriorandexteriorofequipmentcheckfluidlevelsassistinginchangingplowbladesminorequipmentrepairsgreasingequipmentandrefuelingequipmentafteruse.
• Monitorweatherdispatchwintermaintenanceequipmentwhenrequiredandmonitorwinteroperations.

• OTM Book 7 Training for traffic control considered an asset.
• Must maintain a valid DZ drivers license.
• Experience in highway maintenance.
• Computer literate.
• Strong organizational skills with clear communication abilities.
• Helpful friendly and courteous with the public regulatory agencies and peers.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work with little supervision and must be self-directed.
• Able to stand lift 50 lbs carry bend reach.

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
• Flexible with work hours as there will be shiftwork including weekends nights based on the assigned shift and or rotation.
• Must be available to be on call regularly.
