Front Desk Administrative Assistant
Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY
The Front Desk Administrative Assistant will play an essential role in AWP Safetys growth by assisting the Atlantic Canada team with multiple projects and duties related to the efficient and effective operation of the office. The Front Desk Administrative Assistant must be comfortable performing multiple tasks effectively with a focus on timeliness and responsiveness high levels of diplomacy sound judgment and discretion when dealing with customers and other department staff.
Primary Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors/staff in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate individuals or departments
- Answer and respond to Client emails and inquires
- Provide administrative and clerical support including filing photocopying data entry and payment processing
- Assist with customer support inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain office supplies and ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable
- Assist with administration of training and wholesale divisions
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth office operations
- Plan monthly team events
- Logistics/shipping management
Qualifications :
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Bilingual English/French is a plus but not required
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office or similar software for email calendar management and document creation
- Attention to detail and ability to proofread documents for accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The team member must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position which include but are not limited to the following:
- Variable hours of operation based on staffing needs and workload
- Ability to work in a variety of physical positions including sitting standing walking and driving
- Majority of hours will be worked in an office setting
- Some exposure to all weather conditions in combination with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
- May be required to lift or carry objects up to 18 kg
