Job Summary

As a Transfer Station Floor Attendant you are responsible for ensuring that the transfer station operates in a neat tidy and cost-effective manner. This entry-level position is based at the Langley Transfer Station.

Schedule: Sunday Wednesday Thursday Friday and Saturday 9:00 AM 5:30 PM (Mondays & Tuesdays off)

Key Responsibilities:

Perform site maintenance daily using the lawnmower leaf blower etc. as well as use the backhoe and forklift to move material around.
Assisting the public with directing customers with the drop off of their disposal & recycling of household items

Knowledge Skills & Competencies:

Landfill experience is an asset
Must have a valid drivers license and access to personal reliable transportation (site is not accessible by public transit)
Backhoe & forklift experience is an asset
Knowledge of the handling storage and disposal of Hazardous Substance and Dangerous Waste is an asset.
Experience or a mechanical aptitude would be an asset
This position does require weekend shifts
