Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Financial Analyst ready to take on financial responsibility for various Germain Hotels entities. Working closely with several of our teams this detail-oriented and versatile person will oversee cash management and budgets while preparing key financial information essential to the organizations operations and continued growth.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Prepare forecast monthly and annual financial statements for various entities manage property cash flow and prepare annual audit files;
• Prepare and communicate operating budgets as well as various analyses and reconciliations;
• Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and processes as well as internal controls;
• Participate in calculating income tax provisions and preparing tax information for annual filings;
• Collaborate on various special projects.

WHAT YOULL BRING

• Bachelors degree in accounting business administration or another related field;
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience;
• CPA designation or currently working toward it (an asset);
• Experience in an accounting firm or in taxation (an asset);
• Knowledge of the hotel and restaurant industry (an asset);
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English due to the nature of the role and interactions with English-speaking colleagues partners or clients across Canada.
