Job Summary
Prior to May 1 2022 the University required all students faculty staff and visitors (including contractors) to declare their COVID-19 vaccination status and provide proof that they were fully vaccinated or had an approved accommodation to engage in in-person University activities. These requirements were suspended effective May 1 2022 but the University may reinstate them at any point.

A Brief Overview
The Exams Front Desk Assistant serves as the first point of contact for the Exams Office welcoming walk-in visitors and responding to phone and general inquiries. The role also supports day-to-day exams operations by sorting filing and distributing exam materials and assisting with a range of administrative tasks.
This position is the first point of contact and resource person for the department and communicates with students staff faculty and the general public. This position screens all incoming calls answers inquiries and responds redirects or escalates accordingly. This position also performs general clerical duties such as scheduling appointments meetings and booking rooms dealing with inbound and outbound mail and filing.
What you will do
- Acts as resource or contact person for the department including providing information feedback and support to staff faculty students and the public.
- Provides triage and recommends resources as required.
- Provides general office support including mail and courier handling and distribution scheduling meetings workshops presentations and/or information sessions maintaining administrative calendars booking rooms and maintaining inventory of office supplies
- Updates and maintains records.
- Orders distributes and monitors all departmental keys and fobs.
- Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.
- Two-Year Community College Diploma.
- More than 1 year and up to and including 2 years of experience.
- Experience working at a post-secondary education institution considered an asset.

- Question attitudes comments and behaviours which are discriminatory and seeks out appropriate resources to remove these from the workplace.
