Job Summary
Ideal candidates will represent Bosch in a professional manner that aligns with our values of leadership mindset people development team and client focused. A typical day could see you responding to an RFP meeting with sales team members working with service and project teams during installation or working with clients to identify scope requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost budgets based on drawings specifications and other relevant materials
- Work closely with Engineering Sales and PMO to develop cost estimates for labor and logistics and detailed BOM
- Identify labor material and time requirements by studying proposals blueprints specifications and related documents
- Compute and communicate costs through analysis of labor material and time requirements
- Engage subcontractors to augment Paladins areas of expertise to provide a complete solution
- Obtain best product prices from manufacturers distributors and subcontractors
- Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing technical publications establishing networks
- Coordinating bid proposal development with all relevant stakeholders
- A minimum of one year of design experience in the information technology and integrated security systems or Audio-Visual industry
- A strong understanding of the physical security IT industries and/or AV industry including an awareness of complimentary products technologies trends and the general application of physical security technology
- An understanding of and experience with fundamental concepts pertaining to IP networks low voltage electronics power and communications.
- Ability to create and edit design drawings spread sheets program sheets and projects handover documentation.
- Strong computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Bluebeam Mac OS and project / quoting software
- A strong command of the English language supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and projects and be responsive to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Motivated self-starter with ambition to independently research new technologies as well as engineering and business methodologies/concepts
- Previous and progressive experience in the low voltage industry Experience estimating projects
- Experience working with some or all the following systems:

- CCTV Milestone Avigilon Genetec
- Intrusion Bosch DSC DMP Senstar Southwest Microwave
- Network Switching Cisco Ruckus HPE
- RTLS Actall Guard RFID
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Schneider Omron
- Structured cabling - Belden CommScope Corning Panduit
- Door Hardware - any- considered assets
- Audio Visual Crestron Extron Neat etc
- Experience in a technical sales role or system design
- Strong computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Mac OS and project / quoting software
- Post-secondary education in electronics electrical or equivalent
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
