Estimator Civil
Job Summary
- Be responsible for all estimating aspects of the Tendering process;
- Review tender documents to determine the scope of work including project milestones and constraints;
- Be responsible for having a thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of the tender documents drawings specifications and addendum;
- Assist the Senior or Chief Estimator in the development of competitive tenders;
- Provide detailed estimates with complete quantity take-off including the scope of work;
- Build level 1 schedule in MS Project with resources and project milestones;
- Prepare final estimate summaries analyzing each section for scope pricing and completeness;
- Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate data including current and accurate information on prices from suppliers;
- Participate in post-bid interviews with operations team;
- Provide leadership and establish and maintain compelling and harmonious relationships with all staff;
- Increase EBCs brand and visibility in the GTA Market;
- Assist the Senior or Chief Estimator and the Director to ensure EBC meets the various milestones;
- Establish and keep outstanding communications between subcontractors suppliers and consultants;
- Ensure chair internal bid review meetings with EBCs senior management.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering;
- Previous experience in estimating civil construction projects;
- Experience in heavy civil pricing work such as cofferdams shoring road construction bridge rehabilitation in-water works;
- Experience using estimating software and systems and capacity to adapt to new estimating software;
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task;
- Experience with TPL Estimating software would be considered an asset;
- Advanced skills in management negotiation communication and problem-solving;
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work;
- Estimate setup for job costing and job cost analysis of active and completed projects.

Required Skills:
