Join us as aEstimating student for our Montrealdistrict within our Canadian Buildings sectorfor 4 or 8 months starting January 2027. Depending on your assigned project as a Estimating student you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
- Understanding and utilizing PCLs estimating manuals systems and forms
- Reviewing quantity survey assignment with lead estimator or Chief Estimator
- Performing assigned quantity survey
- Giving quantities of major purchase items to purchasing department for pricing
- Transferring quantities to lead estimator
- Performing general subtrade solicitation duties
- Bid document control
- Performing bid day assignments
- Visiting job sites periodically
- Developing relationships with subcontractors
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Estimator
- Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field constructionexperience will be considered an asset.
- Application of various computer software programs will be required including word processing spreadsheetapplications and drafting.
PCL Student wages are determined individually for each student based on the number of completed school termsrelevant work terms kind of role and work location.
