We are actively seeking an Engineering Co-Op Student to join our Production Engineering Cold Lake Team in Calgary. Reporting to the Team Lead Production this role is responsible for supporting production engineering activity for Strathconas Cold Lake SAGD assets. The role will work with field operations staff and the asset team to optimize the production rate well design reservoir efficiency equipment longevity and operating costs.
We are looking for students to start in either January or May 2027 for 12- or 16-month terms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily monitoring and reporting of area production volumes
- Work closely with field operations staff to trouble shoot well performance issues.
- Monitor well pair data quality to ensure that accurate instrumentation and testing data is collected.
- Create production downtime and workover dashboards in Tableau to improve team efficiency with data review and analysis.
- Assist production engineers with day-to-day requirements as needed.
- Project reviews and lookbacks.
Qualification Include:
- Enrolled in a University Co-op or Internship program.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills adaptable to a wide range of personalities.

- Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
