About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor the Mining Engineer as part of the Mid-Range team at Fording River Operations is responsible for supporting the Engineering and Projects departments with planning and stewardship of technical projects and the integration of major work into the active Mine Operation. This person will hold a key role working within the engineering and other site departments to coordinate the effective planning and execution of critical scopes within the mine.
To be successfulwe are looking for someonewho is self-motivated and enjoys working in ateam environment with all levels of an organization. This person has strong writtenverbal and interpersonal communication skills and is dedicated to continuousimprovement. They have proven problem solving skills and can organize competingpriorities to enable effective decision addition proficiencyinmine planning software isessential.

- Swift North Suboxic Zone planning and construction support
- Liasing with key Design Consultants Engineer-of-Records and Qualified Personson above projects
- Liasing with Reclamation teams on major work in and aroundthe active mine areas
- Project budget development tracking and appropriation requests
- Supportinggeneral engineering designs as a Peer Reviewer in the design process
- Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or related field or equivalentcombination of education and experience
- Minimum five years of experience in mine planning
- Professional Engineering Designationrecognized by EGBC
- Strong digital literacy in mining-related software
- Solid understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Motivated self-starter able to work under minimal supervision
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent
