Job Duties:

  • Work as part of a team to plan carry out and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities for children.
  • Supervise and ensure childrens safety while engaging in indoor/outdoor active/quiet and individual/group activities.

  • Communicate regularly with families about childrens growth progress and program participation.

  • Develop individualized/group curriculum based on childrens abilities interests and needs; coordinate with specialists as needed.

  • Attend to childrens physical needs (diapering toileting eating sleep) and implement care plans collaboratively.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports including progress behaviours and required licensing logs.

Qualifications:

  • Approved ECE or ECE-IT Certification through the Early Childhood Registry of B.C
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certificate approved by Community Care Facilities Licensing
  • Previous work experience in a similar environment is preferred experience in assessment planning implementation and evaluation of programs and activities
  • Experience working in a Community Care Licensed facility
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
