Contract: Two-year renewable contract

Schedule: The commitment is 1 hour weekly on-site which is flexible within office hours.

Position & Summary of Scope
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Health Physician to join our team. This role is designed to fit seamlessly around your schedule providing you with the flexibility to balance your existing commitments while still making a meaningful contribution to the team. As an Occupational Health Physician you will report to our Director of Human Resources and work closely with our Occupational Health team consisting of two Occupational Health nurses the manager of Compensation and Benefits and an administrative assistant to ensure the health safety and well-being of all staff members.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD)
- Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
- Specialization in occupational medicine will be considered an asset
- Experience in occupational health and workplace health assessments is an asset
Key Responsibilities
- Review occupational health referrals and workplace exposure incidents as required
- Review and authorize occupational health standing orders immunization protocols and related documentation
- Provide physician oversight for occupational health testing and workplace exposure follow-up
- Use of physician name on blood work requisitions
- Reviews and signs off on standing orders for vaccines and related drugs
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned provided they are consistent with the qualifications identified and fall within the parameters of this role.
