Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of Stores the Director of Stores is the business leader for his/her region. This position has total accountability for the financial resultsleadershipand development of team members in the region. As Store Director you will drive the execution consistency and performance of programs and initiatives within your region to ensure the companys annual business plan for sales margin cost control customer service and health and safety are achieved. The Store Director is the service leader and liaison between Corporate Office and retail locations and must closelymonitorfield operations and results between storesDCsand Fleet with your region toidentifyopportunities for improvement ofday to dayprocesses.
- Achieve all salesmarginand cost control targets as per budget so that maximum profit for each store is realized.
- Review and analyze sales statistics by market todeterminecustomer needs.Identifyopportunities to achieve maximum market share and sales growth.
- Monitoringreportingand reacting to all competitive situations that negativelyimpactstores in the region
- Develop andmaintaina comprehensive succession plan for the region: Regional Sales Manager Regional Operations Manager and Store Managers.
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of the team todeterminequality and room for improvement and supporting the development of each team member
- Oversee the merchandise presentation cleanliness and health and safety within each location within the region
- Oversee and ensure development and productivity of human resources within each store
- Visiting stores regularly and ensure completion of all required store reports and store audits within the specifiedtime frame.
- Analyze KPIs operating reports exceptionreportingand peer reporting to maximize opportunities for improvement. (i.e.: monthly net contribution per month and year contestachievementsand employee headcount)
- 2 or more years experience in a Management Position
- Minimum 3 years sales and/or customer service experience in a retail environment
- Proven ability to motivate and lead management teams and to develop staff through coachingmentoringand training
- Post-secondary education in Business Management or a related field an asset
- Must be willing to travel (20-30%)
- Proventrack recordin customer service salesoperationsand merchandising
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; effective time management skills
