DevOps Infrastructure Architect- Terraform IaC
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): You need strong Terraform skills to manage the portal as code. This involves writing .tf files to define portblueprint portentity and portaction resources using the port-labs/port-labs provider. Pulumi (Python/TypeScript) is an alternative for defining resources.
Integration Framework (Ocean): You must understand the Ocean framework. This is a Python 3.11-based solution used to sync third-party data. Skills involve writing files understanding the integration lifecycle and potentially contributing to logic for custom systems.
CI/CD & Orchestration: You will need deep experience with GitHub Actions to create self-service action backends. This means writing YAML workflows with workflowdispatch triggers and handling Port context via secrets (PORTCLIENTID PORTCLIENTSECRET).
Data Mapping & Transformation: Proficiency in JQ is essential. It is used in or to filter API responses extract data paths (.) and map fields to Port entity properties.
Enterprise Integration Configuration Skills
Terraform: Configure the provider for EU () or US () regions and manage resources using variables for credentials.
GitHub Actions: Set up auto-discovery to import workflows as self-service actions or manually define the action JSON to trigger workflows.
Dynatrace: Use the Ocean framework (Python) to ingest Problems SLOs and Entities. This requires defining mapping rules (JQ) to link Dynatrace entities to Port microservices. You can also set up webhooks for real-time problem alerts.
Experience Level Required
5 years in solutions architecture or DevOps engineering.
Cloud-Native Expertise: Deep understanding of Kubernetes and modern DevOps practices.
IaC Mastery: Hands-on experience with Terraform and Pulumi.
Consulting & Design: Ability to design scalable IDP architectures reference patterns and guide adoption across platform and DevEx teams.
