About the Role
Reporting to the Administration Manager the Customer Processing Representative provides administrative support for Group Retirement Plans including RRSPs RPPs DPSPs and non-registered products. You will partner closely with a Group Retirement Services Customer Service Specialist to support daily caseload administration.
You will be required to learn and use the Group Pension Administration System (GPAS) and follow established Group Retirement Services (GRS) processes.
What you will do
- Manage the accurate and timely processing of group and individual contributions ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Review and process member applications verifying completeness and alignment with plan requirements
- Execute interfund transfers and administer the movement of member assets across investment options
- Process cash withdrawals and coordinate transfers between registered plans and external financial institutions
- Prepare and distribute member disclosures monitor accounts in default status and initiate appropriate follow-up actions
- Maintain and update member and plan information within GPAS ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Collaborate closely with administration team members and cross-functional partners contributing to a high-performing team environment and ensuring a seamless accurate and client-focused service experience across all touchpoints
What you will bring
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
- Ensures accuracy in processing transactions and maintaining records
- Delivers responsive and professional service addressing inquiries effectively
- Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Identifies discrepancies investigates issues and recommends solutions
- Communicates clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing
- Takes ownership of tasks and follows through to completion
- Responds effectively to changing priorities and evolving processes
- Works collaboratively with peers and stakeholders to achieve shared objectives
- Experience with pension or benefits administration systems (e.g. GPAS) is preferred
- Knowledge of registered plans (e.g. RRSP RRIF TFSA) and related regulatory requirements is an asset
- Willingness to complete CEBS Fundamental Courses
- Reliability Status Security Clearance this can only be completed with candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal security status that is required as a condition of employment before an employee can gain access to Protected B information assets or work sites as outlined by theGovernment of Canada website. The base salary for this position is between $39100 - $52800 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
