Your work environment at EXP

In this role you will be a part of the Buildings team of the MEP Sector. The position involves overseeing commissioning services for mechanical and electrical systems while engaging with various stakeholders. Your role will be pivotal in the growth of the commissioning service within the Central Canada Buildings group.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Participate in Commissioning projects from initiation to completion including LEED-related commissioning retro-commissioning and re-commissioning projects
  • Attend meetings and coordinate work as related to Commissioning services with other disciplines and team members including mechanical electrical structural civil building code building envelope/science and other specialty services
  • Liaison/coordination with clients contractors and authorities having jurisdiction
  • Reviewing owner project requirements
  • Performing design reviews
  • Developing commissioning specifications
  • Creating commissioning plans checklists and tests
  • Performing field visits and observing commissioning tests including functional performance testing of HVAC systems and electrical systems
  • Working with contractors in the field to resolve commissioning issues observed during testing
  • Writing field reports and final reports
  • Creating Systems Manuals
  • Oversee building operator training



What your experience looks like

  • 4 years previous experience in commissioning building system design/consulting test and balance and / or building automation system
  • Commissioning certification (Certified Building Commissioning Professional CxA or equivalent) is an asset
  • Professional Engineering () is an asset
  • Ability to travel within the GTHA and Ontario with a valid G Class License
  • Familiarity with building envelope commissioning is an asset

The salary range for this role is between $65K - $90K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific work location.
