About the Opportunity

We Manage HR is recruiting on behalf of a leading precision manufacturing company in Southeast Calgary. We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join a dynamic manufacturing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up operating and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision components that meet customer specifications and quality standards. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about manufacturing quality and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up operate and monitor CNC milling and/or turning machines.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints and work instructions.
  • Verify machine settings tooling and offsets before production.
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Ensure components meet dimensional tolerances and quality specifications.
  • Replace cutting tools and perform basic machine adjustments as required.
  • Monitor machine performance and identify issues affecting quality or productivity.
  • Record production data inspection results and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles.
  • Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with programmers machinists quality inspectors and supervisors to achieve production targets.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of CNC machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating CNC mills lathes or machining centres.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

    Required Skills:

    Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (relevant technical or vocational certifications are a plus). Previous experience in manufacturing or finishing operations is required. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Proficiency in the use of finishing tools and equipment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices. Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. High school diploma or equivalent. Three years experience in shipping and receiving in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred. Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping. Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to warehouse operations. Working Conditions: This role primarily involves working in a machine shop environment. The position may require lifting carrying and moving heavy items. The Shipper/Receiver may be exposed to varying temperatures and weather conditions depending on the warehouse setup. Work hours may include shifts weekends and overtime as required to meet operational demands. Note: The hourly wage rate for this position is $23 per hour. Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
