Azure Cloud basic Knowledge
The Cloud First Business Analyst serves as the governance analyst and documentation lead for the Cloud First Program. Working under the direction of the Program Management Team and Program Technical Lead the role documents governance entities defines inputs and outputs models governance processes and develops the artefacts required to operationalize the Cloud First governance framework.
Purpose of the Role
The role identifies information requirements analyses governance needs documents agreed outcomes develops governance artefacts and models end-to-end processes. Stakeholder engagement workshop coordination meeting management communications approval follow-up and final governance decisions remain with the Program Management Team and Program Technical Lead.
Key Responsibilities
1. Governance Operating Model
Support the Program Management Team and Program Technical Lead in finalizing the definition of all Cloud First governance entities.
Document the purpose scope responsibilities authority decision rights membership and cadence of each governance entity.
Maintain the governance catalogue and operating model.
2. Inputs and Outputs Definition
Define and document the inputs required by each governance entity.
Define outputs decisions approvals actions and artefacts produced by each governance entity.
Produce governance interaction models that show information flows between governance bodies.
3. Governance Process Definition
Work with the Program Technical Lead to define the processes executed within each governance entity.
Document process objectives triggers activities approvals decision points and outcomes.
Apply consistent documentation standards across the programme.
4. Process Modelling and Repository Management
Develop clear process maps and flowcharts for governance processes.
Document workflow dependencies approvals escalations and hand-offs.
Maintain the governance process repository and supporting artefacts.
Responsibility Boundaries
The Business Analyst supports analysis and documentation but is not accountable for:
Arranging workshops or meetings
Managing stakeholder communications
Scheduling sessions or maintaining calendars
Chasing stakeholders for feedback
Securing approvals
Owning governance decisions
These activities remain the responsibility of the Cloud First Program Management Team with support and direction from the Program Technical Lead.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong business analysis requirements analysis and structured documentation skills.
Experience documenting governance operating models decision rights RACI matrices and escalation frameworks.
Proficiency in process mapping workflow analysis and modelling dependencies approvals and hand-offs.
Ability to translate complex governance discussions into clear consistent and usable artefacts.
Strong written communication attention to detail version control and repository management.
Ability to collaborate effectively with programme management technical leads and governance stakeholders.
Preferred Experience and Tools
Experience supporting cloud transformation cloud adoption technology governance or enterprise change programmes.
Working knowledge of common process-modelling methods and tools such as Microsoft Visio Lucidchart or equivalent.
Experience with Microsoft 365 collaboration and documentation tools including Word Excel PowerPoint Teams and SharePoint.
Understanding of governance controls approval workflows decision logs and document lifecycle management.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in business Information Systems Computer Science Engineering or related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
Business analysis or process-modelling certification is advantageous.
Relevant experience level to be aligned with the organizations role-grading and project requirements.
Success Measures
Governance artefacts are complete accurate consistent traceable and ready for review and approval.
Process models clearly show triggers activities decision points approvals escalations dependencies and outcomes.
Governance repositories remain current controlled and easy for stakeholders to navigate.
Deliverables are completed in line with agreed programme priorities and documentation standards.

Participate in the design development testing deployment and production support. Troubleshoot and resolve application and integration issues in a complex regulated environment. Collaborate with architecture QA and operations teams to ensure platform stability scalability and performance. Support modernization initiatives and enhancements to existing payment hub capabilities. Produce clear technical documentation and participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
