Job Title: Clerk 1/Receptionist (ADM02)
Location: Truro Nova Scotia

Position Overview

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Clerk 1/Receptionist to support daily front-office operations in a busy client-facing environment. This role serves as one of the first points of contact for clients staff and visitors requiring excellent communication organizational and administrative skills.

The successful candidate will perform a variety of standardized clerical and reception duties with a strong emphasis on accuracy professionalism and customer service under direct supervision.



Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet clients visitors and staff in a professional and courteous manner
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and walk-in inquiries
  • Operate a multi-line switchboard/telephone system
  • Provide front-desk reception and administrative support
  • Prepare type and file correspondence and office documents
  • Maintain organized filing systems and records
  • Assist with application processing and related documentation
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory for office equipment
  • Distribute and deliver inter-office mail
  • Support general clerical and administrative tasks as required
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Grade XI education plus related clerical/reception experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general office equipment
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
