Cleaner (St. Laurent community)

We are currently seeking a Property Cleaner to support daytoday cleaning operations at Avalon Park - a vibrant familyoriented community in Ottawas St. Laurent neighbourhood just east of downtown. This handson role is ideal for an energetic reliable cleaner committed to supporting a community of more than 800 residents where youll play a key role in maintaining modern highquality living spaces.

Responsibilities

In addition to the responsibilities typically expected of a cleaning professional responsibilities will include;

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping mopping vacuuming and dusting.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms laundry rooms and common areas to ensure high hygiene standards.
• Empty garbage and ensure that waste is disposed of safely and properly.
• Perform occasional deep cleaning including scrubbing baseboards cleaning appliances and refinishing floors.
• Respond to any cleaning work orders submitted by the property management team.
• Occasionally engage in snow removal during winter months.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the property operations team.
• Follow all safety protocols and use all assigned personal protective equipment appropriately.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial or residential cleaning janitorial services or housekeeping is considered a strong asset but is not required.
• Comfortable working both independently and part of a team.
• Ability to perform a variety of repetitive physical tasks including bending kneeling lifting and walking for extended periods of time.
• Basic English verbal communication skills.
• Friendly respectable and community-minded with strong interpersonal skills.
• Successful completion of a criminal record check.
• Ability to provide professional references and have a proven record of reliable work attendance.

Additional Details

• All work will be completed at Avalon Park; located at 2470 Southvale Crescent Ottawa.
• The ideal candidate lives close enough to Avalon to respond quickly to emergency resident inquiries (within about 1015 minutes).
• This role requires participation in an on-call rotation schedule.

Compensation

• $18 - $20 per hour based on skills and experience.
