What Youll Do:
- This role is responsible for safely completing the following tasks:
- pot and soil preparation
- staking and bagging plants in the greenhouse
- harvesting / hand threshing
- greenhouse room cleaning and housekeeping
- Actively follow safety procedures wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Timely complete tasks as assigned from technicians agronomists and plant breeders to meet business objectives
- Demonstrate willingness and enthusiasm to complete other duties and assignments to meet operational needs of the business
What Youll Bring:
- A High School diploma or equivalent certificate is required
- An engaged safety-first mindset
- Comfortable working in outdoor weather conditions for the majority of work shift
- Able to stoop bend and walk for extended periods of time
- Accountability to team with dependable attendance and completion of assigned workload
- Attention to detail when completing data tracking activities
- Follow through on assigned tasks from start to finish
- Apply critical thinking in problem solving scenarios
- Interpersonal effectiveness to collaborate with colleagues and leaders
- Organized approach to completing work in alignment with priorities
- Previous work experience in agriculture is an asset but not required
