Buyer Internal Opportunity

Activate is a tech company known for creating Canadas first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Buyer. The successful candidate will be well-versed in production inventory and purchasing procedures and ways to optimize them. This is a full-time permanent position. This is an internal opportunity open only to current Activate employees.

The Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review ERP/MRP purchase suggestions generate and submit purchase orders
• Facilitate purchasing requests across various departments
• Facilitate ad hoc requests assisting with pricing and lead time discussions
• Communicate shipping updates from suppliers to various stakeholders
• Communicate pricing updates from suppliers to various stakeholders
• Update and maintain ERP purchasing modules with customer and pricing information
• Participate in quality control and vendor assessments
• Assist with maintaining purchasing lists
• Produce relevant reports as required
  

The Qualifications:

• 1-2 years in a related field
• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
• Excellent communication abilities with an ability to build positive working relationships
• Ability to identify analyze and resolve issues previously undetected
