Bottle Preparation Technician

Goal: Ensure bottles are correctly sorted labelled and treated with appropriate preservatives for client use in sample collection.

• Label and/or dispense acid in bottles when necessary as per safety standards
• Check the accuracy of bottles sorted to the bottle order
• Pack bottles in coolers ensuring sufficient packing materials and ice packs are provided as per Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations
• Ensure the bottle order paperwork is included in the cooler
• Seal cooler with packaging tape and ensure it is safe for transport
• Place all shipping labels on coolers as per TDG requirements
• Separate all coolers as per delivery requirements
• Ensure all coolers are clean and in good condition
• Maintain bottle prep area in a clean safe and an organized manner
• Follow all procedures of the Bottle Preparation SOPs and Quality Control
• Be proactive in the identification of problems areas of opportunity and inform the appropriate person to act upon accordingly.

• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word Excel Outlook etc.)
• Ability to work independently as well as engage others when required in escalation of concerns to meet the client needs or to best manage client disappointments
• Energetic and keen with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking prioritizing and adapting to changes are required
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
