Job Summary
Backend Integration Developer (Java/Spring Boot)
Contribute to a strategic digital transformation initiative within the insurance sector focused on enhancing application lifecycle tracking and electronic document management. This opportunity offers the chance to work on enterprise integrations API development and backend solutions that support advisor-facing platforms in a collaborative Agile environment.
What is in it for you:
Salaried: $60-70 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $73-83 per hour.
6-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Day schedule 37.50 hours per week.
Hybrid work with 3 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities:
Support a unified digital experience platform for electronic application and lifecycle tracking and electronic document management.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services.
Provide advisor-facing data application and transaction lifecycle status and electronic client documents.
Integrate backend source systems with advisor portal front-end applications.
Perform data mapping and transformation activities.
Support metadata and tagging remediation initiatives.
Handle entitlement-related requirements.
Investigate and resolve defects.
Contribute to solution delivery within an Agile team environment.
What you will need to succeed:
Required qualifications
RESTful API / microservices backend development in Java / Spring Boot (Maven-based deployed to Azure/AKS).
Systems integration including consuming and exposing APIs across enterprise source systems including messaging/queue-based integration (JMS/ActiveMQ).
SQL and data mapping/transformation between source systems and front-end API (UI) contracts.
API integration with third-party/enterprise systems including retrieval of content and handling of associated metadata.
Agile delivery with Git-based CI/CD workflows (GitHub PR-based workflow).
Preferred qualifications
Integration with document management systems (Alfresco or comparable ECM including OnBase Documentum OpenText).
Salesforce data integration exposure.
Financial services or banking domain experience.
