Assistant Site Superintendent
Job Summary
- Lead supervise and mentor field staff on-site while fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment;
- Manage daily construction activities and ensure adherence to project plans and schedules;
- Maintain strict safety standards and lead by example in promoting a safe work environment;
- Collaborate effectively with subcontractors and trade partners building positive working relationships that drive project success;
- Conduct regular site inspections safety meetings and quality control checks;
- Resolve on-site issues in collaboration with the project manager consultants and client representatives;
- Monitor progress against the project schedule and regularly report on status;
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages open communication and mutual respect among all team members.
- Minimum three years in related role (e.g. project coordinator assistant project manager);
- Must have a Gold Seal Certification or equivalent professional designation;
- OHSA certification and other relevant safety training;
- Knowledge of Ontario Building Code and municipal requirements;
- Lean construction or other methodology experience;
- Proven success leading large-scale commercial institutional and high-rise building projects;
- Strong knowledge of construction methods safety standards and scheduling;
- Excellent leadership communication and decision-making skills;
- Ability to foster collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders;
- Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools;
- Ability to work full-time on-site.
