Assistant Mixer Operator
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Mixer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for blending and mixing various materials to create high-quality products. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Mixer will play a crucial role in ensuring that production processes run smoothly and meet quality standards.
- Operate mixing equipment to combine ingredients accurately achieving the desired texture consistency and quality.
- Precisely weigh and scale ingredients according to recipe requirements to ensure consistency and quality in all batches.
- Monitor the mixing process making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired results.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members in the warehouse to facilitate the movement of materials and finished products.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of machining processes and carpentry skills are an asset.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
Required Skills:
Qualifications Previous experience in upholstery furniture manufacturing automotive upholstery or a similar production environment is preferred. Experience using pneumatic staple guns and hand tools is an asset. Ability to read and follow work orders production schedules and standard operating procedures. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Reliable punctual and a team player. Ability to lift materials and perform repetitive physical tasks as required. Preferred Skills Upholstery and foam installation experience. Knowledge of quality inspection procedures. Experience working with adhesives and foam products. Understanding of workplace health and safety practices. Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
