This position is part of a unionized bargaining hourly wage for this position is starting at 19.60 which is established in accordance with the collective agreement. Depending on a candidates relevant knowledge skills education and prior experience a higher hourly wage may be offered. Any hourly wage offered for this role whether it is the starting wage or higher will be within the wage scale established for this position in accordance with the collective agreement.

This is a posting for an existing permanent part-time position.

Location: 250 Greenbank Rd Ottawa ON K2H 8X4

Shifts: Days Evenings Weekends

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receives prices stocks rotates and merchandises products
Ensures department is ready for business at all times.
Implements and adheres to Customer Service Policy
Adheres to Company policies and procedures and government regulations concerning health & safety sanitation security etc.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager
Supports Meat Manager and directs activities pertaining to department staff including hiring coaching and training.
Supports Meat Manager for ensuring department standards
Supports overall store operations including store opening and closing.

REQUIREMENTS:

Meat experience which includes excellent product knowledge and rotation and merchandising experience
Superior customer service skills
Capable of standing for a prolonged period of 4-8 hours; of bending twisting and turning and reaching; and of lifting up to 30 lbs.
Available to work days evenings Saturdays and Sundays as per the C.B.A
