Job Title: Area Manager Recycling Operations
Location: Brampton Ontario or Kitchener Ontario Canada (relocation assistance available)
Base Salary: CAD $180000 to $210000 per year

Position Summary
Manages the productivity financial and overall performance of multiple recycling operating units. Ensures operating units meet or exceed annual objectives and successfully implement organizational initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Areas recycling operating plans consistent with long-range objectives to enhance effectiveness and delineate responsibilities and authority
- Counsel managers on the execution of programs processes and initiatives and provide direction for modified work plans or contingency plans when necessary
- Oversee human resource needs including selecting coaching training and evaluating employees; provide input into termination compensation and promotion decisions
- Facilitate regular Profit and Loss (P&L) reviews and execute action plans to improve equipment and facility utilization equipment maintenance and labor and material costs
- Conduct regular cost of goods sold (COGS) reviews to ensure plants maintain or improve gross margin spread as COGS fluctuate
- Implement and maintain programs to improve safety productivity and profitability; ensure compliance with OSHA DOT and other applicable regulations; conduct regular site safety reviews with plant managers and supervisors
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 4 years of relevant work experience
- Valid drivers license
- Available to travel 50% of the time
- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset

Required Education:
Bachelors degree in engineering.3 years of experience in industrial continuous process manufacturing (process engineering) plus hands-on troubleshooting with process control architecture and Sigma or structured problem-solving methodology supporting equipment startups or major capital projects.
