We have an immediate opening for aContract (1-Year temporary full-time) Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer M with potential to extend or convert to permanent full-time employmentfor the Langley Operations Department. This position will be based out of the Langley facility British Columbia and will report to the Crew Chief.
What youll do
- Perform Aircraft Maintenance services on a variety of helicopter types
- Conduct light to heavy repairs
- Carry our maintenance recurring inspections and calendar inspections.
- Troubleshooting and ensuring operational performance and standards of the entire aircraft
- Recording work on Company build sheets or applicable forms
- Following established maintenance techniques and adhering to standard practices
- Placing basic parts orders
- Assists other mechanics with troubleshooting
- In depth knowledge of processes
- May assist Lead Hand as required
- May have contact with customers
Required Qualifications
- Formal Transport Canadarecognized AME training (BCIT or equivalent accredited program)
- Understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience through formal training personal projects school labs or previous work (e.g. use of hand tools measuring tools basic disassembly/assembly interpreting mechanical drawings)
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a permanent basis.
Preferred Characteristics
- Experience with maintenanceand installation preferably on AS 332 Super Puma and/or AS350 Aircraft is an asset
AME M license considered a strong asset
- Thorough understanding of all technical documents such as: technical bulletins alert service bulletins etc.
- Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
- Willing to work overtime.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Hourly Rate: $26.41 - $33.01
