AltaGas Financial Analyst, Corporate Accounting

We are seeking a motivated and adaptable accounting professional to join our Corporate Accounting team during an exciting period of transformation. This role will support daytoday financial and accounting activities enabling core team members to focus on a major ERP implementation initiative.
As the organization continues to evolve this position offers exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities and opportunities to contribute across multiple areas where support is most needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support monthend and quarterend close activities including journal entries reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Assist with balance sheet and income statement analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support financial reporting and internal management reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to resolve accounting issues and respond to ad hoc. requests.
• Help maintain strong documentation controls and audit readiness.
• Provide flexible coverage across accounting processes as priorities shift.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting Finance or related field is required.
• 25 years of relevant accounting or finance experience prior Corporate Accounting experience is preferred.
• Solid understanding of core accounting principles; working knowledge of US GAAP is an asset but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Comfortable working in a changing environment with evolving responsibilities.
• ERP experience (e.g. Oracle SAP JDE) is an asset but not required.
• CPA designation or in progress is preferred.
