What youll be doing

Technology Operations helps keep our systems processes and teams running smoothly so we can deliver reliable experiences across the bank. As an AI & Data Analytics and Reporting Analyst Co-op youll support reporting and analytics initiatives by partnering with stakeholders to understand business needs connect to and organize data from Excel flat files databases and other organizational repositories and turn information into meaningful insights. Reporting and analytics are the core focus of the role: youll create enhance and maintain Power BI data models dashboards and reports including reliable refresh processes. Youll also explore how CIBC AI solutions Copilot AI agents automation and digital tools can simplify manual work improve processes and support informed decision-making. This is a hands-on opportunity to build your technical analytical and stakeholder-management skills while delivering practical solutions that help teams work more effectively.

How youll succeed

• Data Analytics Reporting & Insights Connect to and retrieve data from Excel flat files databases and other organizational repositories. Clean combine validate and analyze data to identify trends risks opportunities and actionable business insights.
• Power BI Solutions Build and maintain Power BI data models reports and dashboards; establish reliable refresh processes; and translate business requirements into clear decision-ready reporting solutions.
• AI Enablement & Agent Solutions Use CIBC AI solutions Copilot and related tools to support analytics build practical agents summarize information and automate repeatable reporting or business activities.

• Project Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement - Manage reporting and analytics initiatives as small projects by gathering requirements coordinating activities engaging stakeholders preparing communications and launch materials and incorporating user feedback to improve adoption usability and business value.

• Process Improvement Digital Enablement & Compliance Use data and technology to improve existing processes digitize manual activities and provide reporting support for audit compliance governance and operational requirements.
• Technical Enablement Apply practical coding and data skillsincluding Power Query DAX SQL HTML or similar technologiesto transform datasets automate reporting steps and improve reporting outputs.

Who you are

• You are pursuing a degree/diploma in computer science analytics or a related field.
• You can demonstrate experience in Power BI Python HTML Microsoft Power Platform tools including SharePoint and Power Automate as well as collaboration and reporting tools such as Easy BI Jira and Confluence. Its an asset if you have hands-on experience with AI concepts AI agents or automation use cases.
