Shifts Available:1st (Monday to Friday 6:00 AM to 2:45 PM)
Compensation: $41.00/hr for 3rd class Power Engineer and $48.45/hr for 2nd class Power Engineer($44.30/hr. if ticketed)

Principal Accountabilities
- Monitor boiler operation (pressure temperature) including chemistry on water safety checks and coordination of maintenance activities including lockout tagout and preventative maintenance completion with minimal guidance
- Record and document maintenance and other boiler related activities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical problems and provide follow-up as required
- Perform daily weekly and monthly boiler operation checklist with occasional guidance
- Complete regular preventative boiler maintenance checks with little to no guidance
- Maintain building roof floor and report substandard conditions
- Perform emergency duties if required and understand various uses of fire-fighting equipment
- Operate ammonia refrigeration syste
- Other duties as assigned by Chief Engineer
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- 2nd class power engineering certificate (3rd class with significant progress may be considered)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending lifting up to 50 lbs kneeling climbing crawling and twisting safely
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat cold dust loud noise etc. with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work overtime including weekends holidays or different shifts with advance notice
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of ABSA standards and PSM (Process Safety Management) requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with boilers and steam
- Experience operating large scale industrial firetube boiler
- Experience in food manufacturing environment
- Experience in operating ammonia refrigeration system
