Sr. Program Officer
Job Summary
The duties and responsibilities of Sr. Program Officer include:
1. Program Implementation and Coordination
Support the implementation of TB program activities in accordance with approved workplans budgets national TB guidelines and donor requirements.
Coordinate with regional operation teams and relevant stakeholders to facilitate the smooth implementation of program activities.
Follow up on action points arising from meetings and ensure timely completion of assigned activities and deliverables.
Assist in organizing and coordinating technical meetings workshops trainings program review meetings and other program events.
Support the rollout and implementation of new program initiatives and operational activities as assigned.
Assist the Program Manager in tracking implementation progress and identifying operational or programmatic issues requiring follow-up or escalation.
Support coordination among program and field operation teams to ensure activities are implemented according to approved plans and timelines.
2. Monitoring Reporting and Documentation
Collect compile and review program data and implementation updates from operation teams.
Assist in monitoring program progress against approved targets indicators workplans and timelines.
Identify and communicate implementation gaps delays and emerging issues to the Program Manager.
Assist in preparing monthly quarterly semi-annual annual and donor-specific program reports for management donors and relevant national programs.
Support data validation quality assurance data reconciliation and documentation of program achievements challenges and lessons learned.
Coordinate with the MEL/BI team to ensure timely availability and consistency of program data and reporting information.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of reports activity documents meeting records and supporting evidence.
Support the preparation of program presentations dashboards briefing notes and other information required for management and donor review.
3. Stakeholder Coordination and Communication
Support effective communication and sharing information across relevant SCH departments and with external stakeholders.
Assist the Program Manager in coordinating with the National TB Program regional/state and township TB teams partners service providers and other relevant stakeholders.
Assist in preparing meeting agendas minutes presentations briefing notes correspondence and follow-up action trackers.
Coordinate with internal departments including MEL/BI Finance Supply Chain HR Operations Telehealth and other relevant teams as required.
Follow up on agreed actions with relevant internal and external stakeholders and provide updates to the Program Manager.
4. Technical and Program Support
Assist the Program Manager in reviewing relevant technical documents national TB guidelines donor requirements SOPs and operational plans.
Contribute to the development and review of Terms of Reference (TORs) concept notes workplans program memos SOPs and other program documents.
Support program monitoring and supervision visits and assist in preparing visit reports findings recommendations and follow-up actions.
5. Budget and Administrative Support
Support the Program Manager in tracking program activities against approved budgets and workplans.
Support preparation of budget-related inputs for workplans budget revisions forecasts and program reports.
Support procurement requests and follow up with the Supply Chain Team to facilitate the timely availability of program materials and services.
Assist with travel arrangements meeting logistics and other administrative coordination related to program activities.
Flag significant budget procurement or resource-related issues to the Program Manager in a timely manner.
6. Capacity Building and Knowledge Management
Assist in identifying capacity-building needs and developing training materials presentations job aids and program tools.
Support the organization and coordination of program training orientations coaching and knowledge-sharing activities.
Document and share best practices success stories lessons learned and program innovations.
Promote knowledge sharing and consistent implementation approaches across program teams and regions.
7. Other Responsibilities
Provide timely program support to the Program Manager and relevant program teams as required.
Perform other program-related duties and responsibilities assigned by the Program Manager.
Maintain professional collaborative and respectful relationships with colleagues partners and other stakeholders.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changes in the program and operating environment
Qualifications :
M.B.B.S is preferred; however a Bachelors degree in Public Health Medicine Nursing Health Sciences or a related field will be considered.
At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in TB public health NGO or health program implementation.
Practical understanding of TB program activities and relevant national TB guidelines.
Demonstrated experience in program coordination monitoring reporting or stakeholder engagement.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Good communication interpersonal and teamwork skills. Good command of written and spoken English and Myanmar.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Word Excel and PowerPoint.
