Finance Director – Sports Betting, Remote

CloserHire is partnering with a fast-growing international technology company within the sports betting and iGaming industry to recruit an experienced Finance Director for their operations in Sofia Bulgaria. This senior leadership position will take ownership of the companys financial strategy planning reporting controls and commercial finance activities. Working closely with the executive leadership team you will provide financial insight to support strategic decision-making while ensuring robust governance and scalable financial processes as the business continues to grow internationally.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the companys overall finance function and financial strategy
• Partner with the executive leadership team on strategic planning and key business decisions
• Own budgeting forecasting financial planning and performance analysis
• Prepare and present accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial reports
• Monitor financial performance against budgets forecasts and strategic objectives
• Develop financial models and provide commercial analysis to support growth initiatives
• Oversee cash flow treasury working capital and liquidity management
• Establish and maintain strong financial controls policies and governance processes
• Coordinate annual audits and manage relationships with external auditors advisors banks and other financial partners
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting tax regulatory and statutory requirements
• Oversee tax planning and reporting across relevant jurisdictions
• Provide financial insight into new markets products investments and commercial opportunities
• Develop and monitor financial
• KPIs and management reporting dashboards
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability operational efficiency and cost management
• Lead develop and mentor the finance team
• Drive improvements and automation across finance systems reporting and processes
• Support the financial aspects of international expansion and business growth

Requirements:

• 8 years of progressive finance experience including significant experience in a senior finance leadership position
• University degree in Finance Accounting Economics Business Administration or a related field
• Professional qualification such as ACCA ACA CIMA CPA or equivalent is highly advantageous
• Strong experience with financial planning and analysis budgeting forecasting and management reporting
• Solid understanding of accounting principles financial controls tax and statutory reporting
• Proven experience partnering with C-level executives and senior business stakeholders
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
• Experience managing and developing finance teams
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of Excel and modern
• ERP/accounting systems
• Experience implementing or improving finance systems automation and reporting processes is an advantage
• Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills
• High level of integrity accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced international and rapidly scaling business
• Excellent command of English Previous experience within iGaming sports betting fintech technology or another high-volume transactional industry is highly advantageous
