Position: Sonic Audit Specialist - Portuguese
Type: Contract
Compensation: $25/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI training data in Brazilian Portuguese by auditing multilingual transcription and forced alignment tasks.
• Review transcriptions for accuracy and apply error codes to ensure the AI model captures speech correctly.
• Verify and correct word-level audio segmentation adjusting timestamps and transcriptions as needed.
• Provide written rationales for each judgment to enhance AI model performance.
• Work independently and asynchronously with a focus on careful listening and detailed analysis.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Native or near-native command of Portuguese as spoken in Brazil.
• Strong English reading and writing skills.
• Experience with transcription subtitling localization linguistic annotation or QA.
• Ability to apply a disciplined rubric consistently.

Preferred

• Experience in AI data annotation or model evaluation.
• Background in phonetics or linguistics.
• Familiarity with audio editing or waveform tools.
