Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced System Engineer Build & Release to join a central Build & Release team supporting a major public-sector organisation in Brussels.
The team is responsible for managing supporting and continuously improving the organisations central CI/CD ecosystem. This role combines operational platform management with the modernisation and standardisation of the software delivery chain.
- Manage maintain and optimise the existing CI/CD ecosystem.
- Design implement and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines.
- Analyse and resolve complex build and deployment issues.
- Support development teams with CI/CD-related challenges.
- Contribute to the modernisation and future evolution of the software delivery environment.
- Standardise build release and deployment processes across multiple teams.
- Manage software artefacts and repositories.
- Integrate quality and security controls into the software delivery lifecycle.
- Improve the reliability speed and security of software releases.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Share knowledge and support colleagues and development teams.
- 5 years of experience with CI/CD and Build Automation including technologies such as:
- Jenkins
- GitLab CI/CD
- Azure DevOps
- GitHub Actions
- 5 years of experience with Release & Deployment Management including:
- Release
- Deploy
- 3 years of experience with Artifact Repository Management such as:
- Nexus Repository
- Artifactory
- Azure Artifacts
- 5 years of experience with Source Code Management:
- Git
- GitLab
- GitHub
- Bitbucket
- 3 years of experience with Scripting & Automation preferably:
- Bash
- Python
- PowerShell
- 3 years of experience with DevSecOps & Continuous Improvement including:
- SonarQube
- Security scanning
- CI/CD governance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
