Senior Java Developer Java Architect

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer / Java Architect to design develop and maintain scalable enterprise applications using modern Java and cloud technologies. The role combines hands-on development system design integration and technical leadership.

• Design and develop Java 8 / Spring Boot microservices.
• Design REST/SOAP APIs messaging systems and enterprise integrations.
• Define scalable architectures with focus on performance security availability and fault tolerance.
• Evaluate technologies and support modernization of legacy applications.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps practices.
• Support applications throughout their full lifecycle including post-go-live maintenance.
• Perform architectural and code reviews and mentor senior developers.
• Work closely with customers and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to an Agile development environment.

• 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong expertise in Java 8 Spring Boot Microservices REST/SOAP.
• Experience with Azure DevOps Git CI/CD Maven Jenkins and Docker.
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging technologies is a plus.
• Strong system design and analytical skills.
• Proven customer-facing experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong communication leadership and mentoring skills.

• Location: Brussels Belgium
• Hybrid: 1 day per week on-site.
• Start Date: 2 October 2026
• Duration: 6 months
