Senior Deployable Communications Infrastructure Engineer (DevOps) for NATO with security clearance

Deployable communications infrastructure has an unforgiving test: it either works inthe field on the exercise when it is needed or it does not. This role is the senior engineeringcontribution to that design and build in a DevOps environment then go and prove it.

It is explicitly a senior post. You would be the person junior engineers escalate to the onewho leads technical support teams through exercises and the one who writes down how it allactually works.

What you would be doing

• Provide professional and technical contribution to the design development and execution ofdeployable communications engineering projects.
• Work in a DevOps environment continuous integration change flowing continuously automated deployment and monitoring in place.
• Backing the junior members of the team across incident service request and problem management as the seniorengineer and ultimate problem solver.
• Provide engineering support to plan and execute approved exercises on site or remotely.
• Document the designs and implementations of the services you own plus troubleshootingguides.
• Plan schedule participate in and lead technical support teams for projects andexercises.
• Give on-the-job training to keep the support capability sharp.
• Deputise for higher-grade staff when required.

What we are looking for

• A bachelors degree from a recognised university in a related discipline plus two years ofrelevant experience or in place of the degree demonstrable ability and experience of realinterest in this field.
• Deployable or field communications infrastructure experience.
• Genuine DevOps practice: automation monitoring continuous change.
• The seniority to lead a support team through an exercise and be the final escalation.

The role is full time on site in Mons Belgium from the end of September to the end ofDecember 2026.
