About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Solution Designer PowerBI (Freelance) to join our clients mission-critical data transformation journey in Brussels. This is a 24-month freelance assignment where your expertise will directly shape the future of data-driven decision-making across finance HR customer service and regulatory reporting. Youll architect and deliver robust PowerBI solutions that empower business leaders and drive operational excellence.

Your work will directly impact financial transparency customer service efficiency HR analytics and regulatory reporting all while ensuring technical excellence and data integrity.

What Youll Be Doing

• Design and implement advanced PowerBI solutions based on business needs leveraging MS PowerBI and Databricks.
• Develop integrated reports dashboards and alerts for internal financial HR customer service and regulatory reporting.
• Architect and optimize ETL processes Data Lakes Data Warehouses and data publication/consumption pipelines.
• Ensure seamless integration with SAP ECC6 SAP S4Hana SAP ISU and other legacy and modern data sources.
• Monitor maintain and optimize the PowerBI and Databricks environments for performance and reliability.
• Champion data governance ensuring compliance with GDPR ISO27001 and NIS2 standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement in data architecture modeling and forecasting capabilities.
• Operate on-site in Brussels for a minimum of 3 days per week aligning with client requirements for service continuity and collaboration.

What Were Looking For

• Proven expertise in designing and delivering enterprise-grade PowerBI and Databricks solutions.
• Deep understanding of Big Data Data Architecture and multidimensional modeling.
• Hands-on experience with ETL Data Lake Data Warehouse and data forecasting.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure Azure Data Factory Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Warehouse.
• Strong experience integrating with SAP ECC SAP S4Hana and SAP ISU environments.
• Proficiency in SQL including advanced partitioning techniques.
• Ability to navigate legacy technologies (Software AG Windev) and modern cloud platforms.
• Builder mindset: ownership problem-solving and a relentless drive for impact.
• Commitment to compliance security and operational excellence.
• Experience working in hybrid on-site/remote environments and collaborating with diverse teams.

• Freelance position: 24-month contract partial on-site presence in Brussels required.
• Full-time commitment (40 hours/week) with adherence to clients office hours and code of conduct.
• Compliance with GDPR ISO27001 and NIS2 regulations throughout the mission.
• Ability to coordinate leave and availability in line with clients service continuity needs.
