Senior Data Engineer Data Warehouse
Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support the modernization of a data platform within a public-sector environment. The role focuses on data warehouse architecture modelling ETL analytics and the development of scalable data solutions using modern Azure technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design develop and maintain data warehouse solutions and architectures.
  • Create and maintain dimensional and data models.
  • Develop data integration and ETL pipelines.
  • Work with databases metadata BI and reporting components.
  • Contribute to the modernization of existing data platforms and applications.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.
  • Apply best practices for data quality architecture and scalable data solutions.
  • Take a leading role in data engineering and architecture activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data warehouse modelling.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Architect.
  • Proven experience designing and building data warehouse solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts processes and architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Azure DevOps
    • Azure Synapse
    • Databricks
    • dbt
    • ETL/data integration
  • Experience with Cognos or DataStage is an advantage.
  • Experience in the public sector and preferably the waste management/environmental sector.
  • Knowledge of Power BI dimensional modelling BI and metadata management is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Dutch: CEFR C2/native-level proficiency.
