We are looking for a Senior Angular Front-end Developer to support the further development of a large-scale operational platform used for the processing and monitoring of digital meter data.
The platform serves as a central 360 operational cockpit providing integrated visibility into technical market and operational data. As the application evolves into a fully interactive operational environment you will take a leading role in improving front-end architecture UI consistency release management and overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead front-end development initiatives using Angular
Perform a front-end audit covering:
Code quality
Architecture
UX consistency
Reusability
Define and implement front-end improvement and optimisation plans
Contribute to the professionalisation and scalability of the UI platform
Develop and maintain reusable design systems and component libraries
Manage structured front-end release processes and release branches
Coordinate compatibility between front-end BFF and backend API versions
Detect and manage breaking changes with backend and platform teams
Support predictable and controlled production releases
Coach and support other front-end developers within the team
Collaborate closely with backend platform and operational teams
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 5 years experience with Angular development Minimum 5 years experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript Minimum 5 years experience with HTML/CSS Experience with design systems and component libraries Minimum 3 years experience with Git Experience integrating JSON and REST APIs Experience coaching or mentoring developers Strong analytical and communication skills Bachelors or Masters degree in IT Engineering or equivalent experience Dutch proficiency at CEFR C2 level
Nice to Have
Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams
Experience with automated front-end testing (unit & E2E)
Experience with Selenium
Experience with Figma or similar design tools
Experience creating refactoring roadmaps and improvement plans
Knowledge -based applications
Experience in the Belgian energy sector
Knowledge of databases such as SQL or PostgreSQL
