Job Summary

Manage and troubleshoot Unix/Linux infrastructure supporting SAP and SAP HANA.

Handle incidents problems and technical issues through to resolution.

Perform SAP application server patching and support HANA OS/firmware patching.

Maintain IBM Power Red Hat Linux and SAP HANA infrastructure.

Support HA and DR environments and ensure service availability.

Prepare and implement technical changes and releases.

Participate in the on-call/standby rota.

Maintain technical documentation SOPs and automation scripts.

Requirements

Strong Unix/Linux administration experience.

Hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux (RHEL) and ideally IBM Power.

Experience supporting SAP/SAP HANA infrastructure.

Knowledge of S/4HANA BW and/or ERP environments.

Experience with HA Disaster Recovery patching and change management.

Strong troubleshooting and incident-management skills.

Scripting/automation experience is desirable.

HP Superdome experience is advantageous.

Comfortable supporting business-critical environments and participating in an on-call rota.

Required Skills:

Infrastructure & Systems Experience SAP (HANA): 5 years of experience setting up and managing SAP (HANA) environments in a large enterprise. IBM Power: 10 years of experience with IBM Power 8/9/10/11 running AIX and ARF cluster framework (Escala Bull). Linux: 5 years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and 9 including Red Hat IdM (Identity Management). HP Hardware: 5 years of experience with HP Superdome (Flex/X) and DL series servers (DL3x0 DL5x0 DL60 DL80) including hands-on experience with Intel firmware updates. Core Expertise (Advanced Level) High Availability & DRP: In-depth knowledge of HA and Disaster Recovery concepts and architectures. Networking & Storage: Strong background in SAN and enterprise networking solutions. Automation & Scripting: Strong skills in scripting and automation tools (Ansible etc.). Monitoring: Hands-on proficiency with Zabbix monitoring software
