Functional Analyst Pharma

The role

CGI is looking for a Medior Business / Functional Analyst to support digital transformation and system improvement initiatives in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector. You will work at the intersection of business Quality and IT translating operational needs into clear testable and compliant solutions.
From discovery workshops through UAT and deployment you will help stakeholders make informed decisions keep requirements traceable and ensure that each change works in a regulated environment.

What you will do

Business and functional analysis. Analyse current processes clarify pain points and define target improvements. Gather challenge document and maintain business and functional requirements.
Clear analysis deliverables. Produce process flows use cases functional specifications impact assessments and acceptance criteria while maintaining traceability from business need to delivered solution.
Process improvement and problem solving. Support issue investigation and root-cause analysis translate findings into change requests and identify opportunities for simplification and continuous improvement.
Quality and compliance by design. Ensure that requirements reflect applicable pharmaceutical regulations GxP principles data integrity expectations and internal governance. Support validation and audit-readiness documentation.
Stakeholder alignment. Facilitate workshops and interviews with business users subject-matter experts Quality IT teams vendors and project partners. Communicate decisions dependencies and open points clearly.
Testing and delivery. Prepare test scenarios support User Acceptance Testing review results contribute to deployment and help create end-user documentation and knowledge-transfer materials.

What you bring

Relevant experience. Typically 3 to 7 years in pharmaceutical biotechnology healthcare or life sciences environments including at least 3 years in business and/or functional analysis.
Pharma process understanding. Practical exposure to one or more areas such as Manufacturing Quality Supply Chain Regulatory Affairs Clinical Operations or laboratory environments.
Strong analysis fundamentals. Proven experience gathering and validating requirements modelling processes writing functional specifications and defining acceptance criteria.
End-to-end thinking. Ability to understand how process or system changes affect users controls data and connected teams and to structure complex topics into workable next steps.
Collaborative autonomy. Confident working independently on analysis activities while partnering effectively with senior analysts business stakeholders Quality teams and IT delivery teams.
Education. Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology Business Administration Life Sciences Engineering Pharmacy or equivalent professional experience.
Languages. C1 level in Dutch or French at least B1 in the other national language and at least B2 in English.

Valuable additional experience

Regulated systems. Exposure to GxP-compliant systems Computer System Validation data integrity validation documentation or audit-readiness activities.
Certifications. Agile Scrum BPMN IIBA ECBA/CCBA ITIL GxP or Computer System Validation certification is an advantage.
