Location: Brussels Belgium (Hybrid 3 days remote per week)

Were looking for an experienced Senior Functional Analyst to join a major business transformation programme supporting the delivery of new business applications application modernization and greenfield development projects.

Working within an Agile environment youll collaborate closely with business stakeholders project managers architects developers and testers to analyse requirements and deliver high-quality functional solutions.

• Gather analyse and validate business and functional requirements.
• Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Translate business needs into functional analyses and solution designs.
• Produce functional documentation software requirement specifications UML diagrams and data models.
• Write user stories and support Agile backlog refinement.
• Collaborate with development teams to define technical solutions.
• Support end-to-end delivery of new applications and enhancements.
• Create test plans and test cases and support functional testing.
• Work closely with project managers to manage progress risks dependencies and decision-making.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

• Proven experience as a Functional Analyst.
• Strong business and functional analysis skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • UML
  • BPMN
  • Functional Analysis
  • Test Analysis & Design
  • User Story writing
• Experience with:
  • Jira
  • Confluence
  • SQL
• Ability to understand technical concepts such as APIs mappings services batches and business models while remaining focused on functional analysis.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Experience working with or understanding technologies such as:

• Java / J2EE
• Java 8
• Oracle
• Hibernate
• Maven
• Git
• JUnit
• Selenium

(Hands-on development is not required but understanding the technical landscape is essential.)

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable working across multiple business domains.
• Team player with experience coaching or supporting junior colleagues.

• French Native
• Dutch Professional Working Proficiency
• English Professional Working Proficiency

Candidates must hold Belgian nationality due to the nature of the assignment.
