Business Developer – EU Space Programmes & Institutional Affairs

We are expanding our Business Development team and looking for a talented professional to help drive GMVs growth across the European space sector.

The Business Developer EU Space Programmes & Institutional Affairs will identify develop and secure new business opportunities arising from European space programmes institutional initiatives and strategic partnerships across the European ecosystem.

Based in Brussels this role will serve as GMVs key interface with European institutions agencies industry stakeholders and strategic customers helping strengthen GMVs positioning and supporting the growth of our space business.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON

You will contribute to the definition development and implementation of GMVs strategy within the European space ecosystem identifying new opportunities building strategic relationships and supporting the growth of our institutional and commercial activities. The role will have the following strategic objectives:

Business Development & Strategic Partnerships

• Identify qualify and develop new business opportunities arising from European space programmes policies and initiatives.
• Contribute to the implementation of GMVs growth strategy within the European space market.
• Support proposal preparation and business development activities in collaboration with GMVs business units.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities across the European space sector.
• Promote strategic partnerships with industry players research organisations and other relevant stakeholders.

Customer Engagement & Institutional Relations

• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers across the European space ecosystem.
• Understand customer needs and help transform them into business opportunities.
• Act as a bridge between customers European institutions and GMVs business and technical teams.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key organisations including the European Commission EUSPA ESA industry associations and other relevant stakeholders.
• Represent GMV at institutional meetings industry events conferences and strategic forums.

Strategic Intelligence & Market Positioning

• Monitor European space policies programmes funding initiatives and market trends.
• Anticipate future opportunities and emerging priorities within the European space sector.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support GMVs decision-making process.
• Contribute to increasing GMVs visibility and positioning within the European space ecosystem.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM

If you are interested in this position we would require you to have:

• A university degree in Engineering Science Economics International Relations or a related discipline.
• at least 5 years of experience in business development institutional affairs European programmes or strategic partnerships within the space sector.
• Good understanding of the European space ecosystem and its key stakeholders.
• Knowledge of major European space programmes such as Galileo EGNOS Copernicus GOVSATCOM IRIS² and related initiatives.
• Experience working with European institutions agencies or space-related organisations.
• Strong networking communication and negotiation skills.
• Strategic mindset combined with a business-oriented approach.
• Fluent English and Spanish
• Permanent residence in Brussels or willingness to relocate.

The following will be considered an asset:

• An established network within European institutions and the space sector.
• Experience preparing proposals for European programmes.
• French language skills.
• Experience representing organisations in international environments.
