We are looking for an experienced Application Architect / Functional Analyst to support the modernization of a complex IT environment combining legacy systems with modern Cloud and hybrid architectures. You will help improve architecture reduce technical debt and ensure secure scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Perform functional and technical analysis for business projects.
• Design and review application data and integration architectures.
• Advise development teams on technologies architectural patterns performance and scalability.
• Lead design reviews and validate Proofs of Concept.
• Ensure compliance with architecture security and development standards.
• Bridge communication between business development security and infrastructure teams.
• Analyse and resolve complex business and technical problems.
• Ensure consistency between legacy and modern systems.
• Apply Security by Design principles and translate NIS2 requirements into technical measures.
• Document architectural decisions and support knowledge sharing within teams.

• Strong experience in functional analysis and application architecture.
• Expert knowledge of modern Java Spring microservices API-driven and event-driven architectures.
• Good knowledge of data modelling data integration and data security.
• Strong experience with relational databases particularly MySQL.
• Excellent analytical communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong knowledge of Atlassian/Jira.
• Experience working within a federal public-sector environment is an advantage.
• Knowledge of security compliance and NIS2 requirements.
• Languages: Dutch French and English.
