Job Summary

Overview: Our client is a leading regional engineering consultancy serving Barbados the wider Caribbean and international markets. Due to continued growth they are seeking to add an experienced professional to their team.

This position is ideal for a highly motivated Structural Drafting Technician with advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and structural drafting who can contribute to the successful delivery of a wide range of engineering projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineers while independently managing drafting assignments to ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved.

Prepare detailed accurate and comprehensive construction drawings supporting projects from initial concept through to final construction.

Develop organize and maintain complete drawing packages and project documentation with minimal supervision.

Ensure compliance with established drafting standards company procedures and project-specific requirements.

Coordinate and review drafting work completed by other technicians to maintain consistency accuracy and quality.

Provide technical drafting support and guidance throughout all phases of project execution.

Maintain current and accurate internal and client-issued drawings in accordance with the companys document control standards.

Requirements

Diploma or Associate Degree in Drafting Building Technology or a related discipline.
Exceptional candidates with at least 5 years relevant experience will also be considered.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential; experience with 3D modelling software is considered an asset.
Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete detailing with experience in precast concrete structural steel and timber construction considered advantageous.
Excellent organizational communication and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative fast-paced environment.
Valid drivers licence and access to reliable transportation.
Proven experience supporting commercial and residential projects ranging from small-scale developments to large complex structures.
