About us

Naseem AlAndalos is a Bahraini fashion house creating luxury kaftans prêt-à-couture and couture. Every piece is made in our atelier in Bahrain from the first hand-drawn sketch and hand-cut pattern to the final fitting.

The role

We are looking for an experienced pattern maker who drafts patterns by hand to develop our luxury kaftans and couture pieces.

What youll do

• Draft patterns by hand on paper from the designers sketches
• Drape on the dress form to develop new shapes
• Make toiles fit them and correct the patterns
• Grade patterns by hand across sizes
• Prepare accurate fully marked patterns for the cutter
• Work closely with the designers and tailors through sampling and fittings

What were looking for

• At least 3 years experience making patterns by hand in an atelier or couture house
• Strong flat pattern drafting and draping skills
• Experience with kaftans abayas evening wear or couture
• An understanding of how silk chiffon and other delicate fabrics behave

Please note

This is a hand-drafting role. All our patterns are drafted and cut by hand on paper. We are not looking for CAD or digital pattern makers.
