Position: Safeguards Analyst / IAEA or Euratom Inspector
Type: Contract
Compensation: $65$75/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

  • Write challenging single-turn prompts in the nuclear materials domain labeled as benign dual-use and adversarial.
  • Evaluate AI model responses against a defined policy standard and judge correctness.
  • Write reference answers detailing correct responses and the technical reasoning behind them.
  • Collaborate with experts to ensure models accurately judge misuse potential without failing routine questions.
  • Provide clear structured feedback to improve AI model performance in nuclear safeguards.
  • Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while enhancing AI model judgment.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Experience as an IAEA Euratom or state-system (SSAC/RSAC) inspector.
  • Expertise in material accountancy including facility declarations and MUF evaluation.
  • Knowledge of Additional Protocol implementation and safeguards instrumentation.
  • Strong technical writing skills with prior experience in published research or expert witness roles.
